Official Statement from AKAERE NETWORKS TECHNOLOGY LTD
Regarding Recent Events Involving "明月庄主" (Mingyue Zhuangzhu)
10 June 2025
To whom it may concern,
AKAERE NETWORKS TECHNOLOGY LTD (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") hereby issues the following formal statement in response to recent allegations and incidents involving Minecraft content creator "明月庄主" (UID: 2170934) and related parties:
1. Background of the Incident
On 11 May 2025, the "千人服挑战" (Thousand-Player Server Challenge) hosted by "明月庄主" was disrupted by an unidentified Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. Without substantiated evidence, the creator attributed this attack to Mr. Zhang (a member of the MCSL project team, a partner of the Company) and others, citing prior disputes in comment sections of videos and forwarded chat logs from QQ groups.
Subsequently, on the evening of 11 May 2025, "明月庄主" publicly accused Mr. Zhang, Mr. Jason, and associated parties of orchestrating retaliatory actions, including the illegal acquisition of citizens' identity information ("开盒") by unidentified "concerned netizens." The creator further urged his followers to engage in retaliatory conduct against these individuals. Notably, personal details of the aforementioned parties were maliciously disclosed in a purported "apology video" released by "明月庄主."
Separately, Mr. Daiyangcheng, a controlling stakeholder of the Company, established a "万人挑战" (Ten-Thousand-Player Challenge) Minecraft server on 10 May 2025 for recreational purposes, which was promoted via QQ. While this activity did not directly impact "明月庄主," the latter incited his followers to mass-report content related to Mr. Daiyangcheng, resulting in the imposition of social media restrictions on Mr. Daiyangcheng's QQ account by Tencent at 12:52 on 11 May 2025. This action caused significant operational disruption to the Company's business and financial losses.
The aforementioned events have generated widespread negative sentiment within relevant communities, including but not limited to the Chinese Minecraft community.
